Kartik Swami Temple is located at an altitude of 3050 meters above the sea level in Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand and the temple is dedicated to the Lord Mahadev Shiva's elder son Kartikey. The Temple is well known for its surrounding beauty covering beautiful Himalayan snow peaks, including Chaukhamba, Swargrohini, Bandarpunch, Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks and offers a 360° splendid views. This place is also famous for the short trek of around 7 Kms (Up/Down) that starts from the Kanak Chauri village to the Kartik Swami Temple is an amazing experience of trilling trail passes through the dense forest. The landscape views of majestic Sunrise & Sunset are additional to touch one’s heart. Kanakchauri is small village & local market, having10 – 12 shops situated on the Pokhri – Rudraprayag route. The Kanak Chauri village is only 40 Kms away Rudraprayag.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Rishikesh - Kanakchauri (172 Kms Drive)
After relaxing morning drive to Kanakchauri via Devprayag and Rudraprayag then arrive at Kanakchauri check into the Guest House/Home Stay then later proceed to local sightseeing and have Dinner then overnight stay.
Devprayag is located at the Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi Rivers by which river Ganges got its name Ganga. Another tourist attraction is Raghunath Temple dedicated to Lord Rama.
Rudraprayag is devotional place of Lord Shiva and the Rudranath temple is major attraction here. This place is also one of the best halts to Kedarnath Temple.
Day 02: Kanakchauri - Kartik Swami Temple - Kanakchauri - Rishikesh (3 Kms Trek eachside/ 175 Kms Drive)
Early Morning start your 3 Kms trek to Kartik Swami Temple and here explore the untouched beauty of Great Himalaya. Later have some tea, cookies on local shops and then 3 Kms trek back to the Kanakchauri. After breakfast drive back to the Rishikesh, have lunch on the way and on arriving to the Rishikesh tour terminate.

Trekking fee:
The fees are often paid by online transfer/check deposit/ demand draft. Instructions for payment are going to be forwarded along with your confirmation email. It is wise to make your booking a minimum of 2 months before. However, if you would like a decent deal on your domestic/international flight, we suggest organizing your trip at least 5 months before. (Please contact us if you need a late booking)In the event of cancellation of trek/adventure activity services because of any evitable / inevitable reasons we must be notified in writing. Cancellation charges are going to be effective from the date we receive a recommendation in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -
